WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A COLD PROCESSED SOAP ON MY SKIN?
Cold process soap making is an original technique that allows for natural glycerine to infuse the soap, thereby guaranteeing a long-lasting skin hydratation after use. This process we meticulously practice involves blending vegetable oils with an alkali (sodium hydroxide or lye). When the process is complete the alkali is no longer present and the soap offers its gentle purifying and nourishing properties on the skin.
Cold processed soaps therefore guarantees a soft and wholesome product that has been handmade by an experienced craftsperson.


DO DESSEIN SOAPS CONTAIN PALM OIL?
No – The intensive cultivation of palm trees has led to the large-scale destruction of forest areas. By proposing palm oil-free soaps, DESSEIN opts for ingredients whose cultivation has a minimal environmental impact.

SHOULD I TAKE PRECAUTIONS WITH ESSENTIAL OILS?
Extracted from plants, essential oils are concentrated natural essences whose power and efficiency shouldn’t be underestimated. Essential oils should not be applied on the eyes or in the ears. Their use on a pure form is also discouraged for young children and pregnant women. Slightly incorporated and saponified in DESSEIN products, the essential oils are combined to offer natural olfactory qualities in reasonably dosed in active principles products.

ARE ALL DESSEIN SOAPS SUITABLE FOR FACE CARE?
Yes – As our soaps are naturally superfatted and enriched with a blend of vegetable oils among the most moisturizing, our full collection is suitable and effective for face wash.

HOW TO STORE MY SOAP BAR?
Our soap bars are packaged in high quality paper boxes offering optimal product’s preservation for delivery and storage. In the course of normal daily use, we recommend to let the soap dry between uses. As the permanent contact of water can be detrimental to the product, placing the soap in a dish that allows the water to flow is a good way to maximise the product's preservation. We recommend to use DESSEIN ​soaps within 12 months of purchase.

 

WHY ARE SYNTHETIC SUBSTANCES BANNED FROM DESSEIN SOAPS?
DESSEIN aims to offer a soft and natural wash to its cients. Our daily exposure to facial and body washes leads us to show caution. We consequently banned all synthetic and controversial substances from our formulas. Thus, we don’t use parabens, sulphates, chemical pigments, nanomaterials or any petroleum detivative to make our soaps.

ARE DESSEIN SOAPS TESTED ON ANIMALS?
No – We are commited not to test our products on animals DESSEIN soaps are tested by volunteers and the products’ formulas are certified by external laboratories, scientists and toxicologists who also don’t practice animal testings

WHAT IS DESSEIN'S POSITION IN TERMS OF SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING?
Every DESSEIN soap is packaged in a box made from virgin fibers. It ensures optimum conservation and avoids the use of plastic. Designed and printed in Europe, these paper boxes combine strength, durability and aesthetics.

- France & Monaco
Colissimo or Lettre suivie : 48h (Overseas : 5 to 7 business days)
UPS Express : 24h & delivery before 12:00am

- International
Colissimo or Lettre suivie Internationale : 4 to 8 business days
UPS Express : 1 to 3 business days & delivery before 12:00am

Shipping rates are based on weight and destination and vary depending on the total weight of your package and delivery address.
Orders placed before 12:00am CET (Mon-Fri) will ship the same day. Otherwise, we send the parcel the next business day the order is placed. 
 International orders ship in one package and the customer is responsible for paying all import duties and taxes. Each parcel is likely to be delivered in due time but we can not be responsible for a delay caused by the transportation company.

CAN I CHANGE THE DELIVERY ADDRESS OR THE ORDER?
Unfortunately, once the order is placed, you can not change it anymore.

A PRODUCT IS MISSING IN MY ORDER, I RECEIVED A DIFFERENT PRODUCT FROM THE ONE I ORDERED.
